About

Anyone who has sat through the credits of a modern video game understands the sheer size a development team needs to be to produce these titles. I want to get past the macro reporting, which is well covered by numerous media sites, and get down to the micro level.

I want to hear from the individuals who are vigorously and quietly working hard every day to bring the next big thing to your console, computer, and mobile device.  This site gives them the recognition they deserve, tells their story, and presents a more personal glimpse inside the game development process.

About Me
My name is Brandon, and for the past 5 years I have worked in game production, visual effects, and feature animation.  I served as both a Technical Artist and Associate Producer for the America's Army PC game (2.7 and 3.0 releases).  At Industrial Light and Magic I provided production support for the film Evan Almighty.  Most recently I filled the role of Production Coordinator for the Lighting & Compositing departments at ImageMovers Digital for the production of Disney's A Christmas Carol and Mars Needs Moms.  Currently I am collaborating on an animated short entitled Them Greeks...! as the Production Manager.

I am an avid gamer.  I love a good story, be it in a book, a movie, or an animated short, but when I am the protagonist driving the narrative I can't think of a more fun and engaging form of entertainment.  I also like observing all the bits and pieces that make up the gestalt of the game experience.  For example I force characters to repeat actions so I can appreciate the well crafted animations and cycles.  I'll get up close to a set piece to see how the artist achieved the perfect balance of model-texture budget ratio to make it look (and still run) great.  Or observe how the light in an environment can set the tone and mood of the action going on in it just as well as any performance the digital actors are delivering.  Suffice to say, I love playing as much as I love dissecting games.
